The last few months have been a success for the DGCC Script Program. The next Script order is due February 5 with distribution on February 12. Help support your church! Proceeds will go towards the cost of replacing the roof of the church.

Sunday SchoolWhat beliefs do you build your life on? What are your thoughts about life and death, good and evil, pain and suffering, the past, the present and the future? How do you view God, yourself, and other people? Your answers to the above questions comprise your worldview. In fact, everything you think about life is shaped by your worldview. On January 29, we began a new Adult Sunday School study by Rick Warren and Chuck Colson entitled Wide Angle: Framing Your Worldview. Over approximately a 6-week period, we will examine worldviews as they relate to the most important issues of our day such as truth, tolerance, terrorism, reconciliation, and the purpose of life. Bible StudyNON-DENOMINATIONAL BIBLE STUDY Wednesday mornings, 9:30 am WOMEN'S EVENING BIBLE STUDY The Women's Evening Bible Study meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month during the school year. This year's study will be "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World" We want to worship like Mary, but the Martha inside us keeps bossing us around. This book is a doorway to bring us into a deeper relationship with God - teaching us to focus more on the "Blessor" than the "blessings" we think we deserve. WOMEN'S AFTERNOON BIBLE STUDY The Women's Afternoon Bible Study meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 12:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. The study this year will be Paul's letter to the Ephesians. Join us!

Ministry Team COLLEGE CARE PACKAGES The Mission Outreach Committee is organizing College Care Packages that will be going out in the month of February. We will have SIX boxes in the Fellowship Hall beginning FEBRUARY 12 which will be there for TWO weeks through FEBRUARY 26. Please bring treats or snacks or little items to send off to our college students to remind them that their church family cares for and is thinking of them. Caring Community Kitchen News HOW YOU CAN HELP Here are some ways you can help raise funds and supplies for our Caring Community Kitchen and Mission Projects:
If you have any questions, please contact Jim Even. CALLING ALL BAKERS! We have many donations of cake and muffin mixes on the top shelf in the new pantry next to the kitchen. Please take one or two, a pan from the church, bake it at home and return it for the next Wednesday night meal. We serve at 5:30 pm, but someone is usually here at 4:30 pm. Desserts are always appreciated. Thanks for your support. |
